Age of Iron: Event 2!

This summer, Age of Iron will come to an end. It's been quite the ride, but now everything is heading towards a truly explosive conclusion. The players still have ten more weeks to make their influence felt, so we can't say for sure what is going to happen. However it goes down, it's going to be awesome, and I don't use that word lightly!

That's for crew bookings. If you're a player, it will cost a little more than £10. Yes that's right, crewing just costs ten pounds, including transport from York, access to the site, and food, glorious food. Anyway, player forms will come out with player prices over the next few weeks.

People having fun at the last event!

Summer Term Convention: Week 2 Fri-Sun (2-4th May)

Starting at 7pm in James G/001, 002, 010, 013.  We'll also have the 3rd floor Wentworth rooms (W/301/304/306/307) for games/movie watching etc.

AGM and By-elections: Week 3 Thursday (8th May)

There are 3 unfilled positions in the committee: Abnormal Member for Wargames (new), Abnormal Member for Boardgames, Abnormal Member for Magic.  If you want to run, please let us know by the end of Sunday 4th May (Week 3).  Email voting will run Tuesday 6th May 00:00 to Thursday 8th May 18:00, and we will have in-person voting at the AGM at 19:00 Thursday 8th May, with results announced at the social at 20:00.

Each position is responsible for introducing new players to their area and organizing the weekly session (as well as any extra's they want to run).  The Abnormal members are the go-to for help for other members of the society for help in that area and provide a go-between to advocate for money/time from the main committee.  They are also responsible for storing equipment if needed.

It would be great if we could fill these positions, so we can continue to run all the events we have before.

The AGM will also discuss the state of the library, the new constitution, socials, end of term meal ideas and the possibility of changing the Abnormal Member for Magic to include all card games.
